A delegation from China National Energy Administration headed by Vice Administrator Mr. Zhang Yuqing held a high-level meeting with OPEC on September 28, 2015 in Vienna. The delegation made a courtesy visit to HE Abdalla Salem El-Badri, OPEC Secretary General and discussed with OPEC experts in a formal meeting on matters concerning international short and long-term oil market outlook and Chinese oil and gas overview and energy policy. The dialogue was chaired by Dr. Omar S.Abdul-Hamid, Director of the Research Division of OPEC Secretariat. Both sides expressed wish to deepen the dialogue and cooperation in the future. Chinese Permanent Representative and Ambassador Mr. Cheng Jingye attended the meeting.

 

 

 

   From 2005 to 2007, China and OPEC held a high-level meeting and two rounds of high lever technical round-tables. This year, the two sides decided to revive the high-level dialogue since it became dormant in 2008.
